How to become a delegate in Virginia.




As you may know, the Democrats and Republicans in Virginia are preparing for their state wide delegate election to vote for the party’s presidential nomination, The Virginia American Muslim Civic Coalition strongly encourages our community to run for delegate within their respective parties, and to participate in this important process for choosing presidential nominations. The Democratic National Convention inCharlotte or the Republican National Convention in Tampa:

The Virginia Democratic Party is now accepting delegate applications, and the deadline to file an application is 15 days prior to the applicable district convention, the first of which will take place on May 12, 2012. The application consists of a statement of candidacy and a statement endorsing the candidate of your choice.

Each Republican district convention will have a different process and deadline for applying, if you are interested in running for delegate please should contact your Congressional District Convention Chairman.
