DC Area American Muslims Join the National Service Day on 9/11 Feeding 1,000+ Homeless Individuals. Volunteers will meet at ADAMS Main Center Mosque in Sterling, VA from 10:30am-12pm
Washington, DC | September 10, 2011 – American-Third Pillar Charities (ATPC) and All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) volunteers come together to feed the homeless on September 11, 2011. Volunteers will meet at ADAMS and prepare food bags from 10:30am-12pm. The volunteers will then distribute the food bags to those in need at designated points across Washington DC and Northern Virginia. In this time of reflection and 10th Anniversary, our hearts are with the victims and the families of the victims of the September 11th tragedy and our prayers are for peace and compassion. Muslims Condemn Terrorism and Extremism. We condemn the horrific terrorist attacks of 9/11. We pray for the defeat of extremism and terrorism. We pray for the safety and security of our country and its people. We pray for the safety and security of all inhabitants of our planet. We pray that interfaith harmony, cooperation, and respect prevail both here at home and all around the globe. Through getting to know one another on a personal level, people of different faiths can build bridges of understanding, respect, and harmony.
