Two years ago the Muslim Cammunity joined forces to oust several members of the council that were pressing bigoted and hateful policy toward immigrant community. With your help we managed to restore sanity and equality to our town and now we need your help to keep moving forward!

The Town Council is non-partisan so all candidates run as “Independent”
None of the candidates have been endorsed by VMPac for 2012, VMPac will choose who to endorsed based on the answers.
Election Day is Tuesday, May 1, 2012. The Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale
Avenue, is the sole polling place for town elections.
Residents of the Town of Herndon who are eligible but not registered to vote must do so
by April 9, 2012, to vote in the town election.
~ If you are not registered to vote, VaMCC volunteers are happy to stop by or we can mail you a "Voter registration application". If you prefer you can stop by any county government centers, libraries, Fairfax County General Registrar’s office at (703)222-0776, DMV or get it online. All of our Muslim Center and Mosques have Voter registration applications on site; please complete the application and mail, or delivered in person, to the General Registrar, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 323, Fairfax VA 22035-0081.
To apply for an absentee ballot by mail, the Fairfax County Office of Elections must
receive an absentee ballot application from a qualified voter no later than April 24, 2012.
VaMCC also will be happy to deliver a Absentee ballot application, or you may also vote absentee in person no later than April 28, 2012, at the Fairfax County Office of Elections. Applications are available at county government centers and libraries or may be downloaded from the county’s Web site at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/eb.
